Visitor Monitor — Real-Time Visitor Tracking
Overview
The Visitor Monitor gives you a real-time view of every visitor currently on your website — their page, location, device, visit duration, and whether they've chatted before. Use it to proactively start conversations at exactly the right moment.
Accessing the Monitor
Go to Agent Console → Visitor Monitor. The monitor refreshes every few seconds and shows:
- Visitor ID (anonymous or known if they've chatted before)
- Current page URL
- Time on site
- Geographic location (city/country)
- Device type (desktop/mobile)
- Referral source
Proactive Invitations
Click any visitor row and select Start Conversation to send them a proactive chat invitation. The visitor sees a chat bubble with a custom message. You can personalize the message based on the page they're viewing (e.g. "Need help choosing a plan?" on the pricing page).
Automated Triggers
Set up automated proactive rules under Channels → Web Messaging → Proactive Triggers:

| Scroll depth | Visitor scrolls 75% down product page → offer help |
| Exit intent | Mouse moves toward browser close → show retention offer |
| Return visitor | Visitor returns within 7 days → greet by name |
Filtering
Filter visitors by page, location, or visit count to focus on the highest-value prospects. For example, filter to only show visitors on your enterprise pricing page who are on their second or third visit.
