Not every edit needs to go live the moment you finish it. A page's content in Velaro Site can be in one of three states:

Saving a draft

While editing a page, choose Save Draft instead of Publish Now. Your draft is saved and will appear under "Drafts & Scheduled" in the page list so you (or anyone else with access) can pick it back up later. Saving a draft never touches the live page.

Scheduling a publish

1. From a draft (or while editing a page), choose Schedule.
2. Enter the date and time you want it to go live, and your name as the approver.
3. Confirm. Velaro Site requires both the date and an approver name — you can't schedule something anonymously or without picking a specific time.

Scheduled items go live automatically on Velaro Site's regular hourly staging deploy — there's no separate "publish worker" you need to trigger. If your scheduled time falls between two hourly ticks, expect it to go live on the next tick after the scheduled time, not to the exact minute.

Canceling a scheduled publish

Select the scheduled item from the "Drafts & Scheduled" list and choose Cancel. This reverts it back to an editable draft — it doesn't delete your content, and the fact that it was once scheduled (and by whom) stays in the record.

Publishing immediately

Any draft or scheduled item can also be published right now with Publish Now, bypassing its scheduled time. This is the same underlying action a scheduled tick performs automatically — there's no difference in what gets published, only when.

FAQ

I scheduled something and need to change the content before it goes live — can I?

Yes. Open the scheduled item, edit it, and re-schedule (or cancel it back to a draft first if you want to hold it indefinitely).

Does scheduling publish straight to production?

No — like every publish, a scheduled item lands on staging first. Getting it to production is always a separate, deliberate step through the Promote tab.
