Email Campaign Benchmarks

Email Campaign Benchmarks

> Note: This article covers the Velaro Messaging platform (V20). It applies to Broadcast Campaigns (one-time sends) — not to automated trigger/drip campaigns.

What this shows

On your Broadcast Campaigns page, you'll see a "Your Broadcast Performance vs. the Velaro Average" panel showing:

  • Your own open rate and click rate across the broadcast emails you've sent in the last 30 days
  • The Velaro average — the same two numbers averaged across every Velaro customer sending broadcast email campaigns

This lets you see at a glance whether your email engagement is ahead of, or behind, what other Velaro customers are seeing.

Important: this is a Velaro-wide average, not an industry benchmark

The Velaro average is calculated across all Velaro customers sending broadcast campaigns — it is not filtered by industry, company size, or audience type. If you're looking for an industry-specific comparison, this isn't that; it's a same-platform comparison across every business using Velaro's broadcast email feature.

How your privacy is protected

The Velaro average is never computed or shown unless at least 5 different Velaro accounts contributed data in the current period. No individual account's numbers are ever identifiable in the average — the underlying data has no way to trace back to any single account, by design.

If you see "Velaro average not published yet," it means there isn't enough participating data yet — never a placeholder or estimated number.

What's included

Only Broadcast Campaigns (one-time sends to a list or segment) are included. Automated trigger/drip campaigns aren't included in this comparison yet.

Where to find it

Go to Email Campaigns → Broadcast Campaigns. The panel appears automatically once you've sent at least one broadcast email in the last 30 days, if your plan includes this feature.
