Sender warmup and sender health

> Note: This article covers the Velaro Messaging platform (V20) Email Campaigns area. Warmup and automatic pausing are part of Email Growth; the Sender Health tab itself shows on every plan that has email campaigns. Never quote prices or numeric limits; say "see your plan".

What it is

New sending domains are warmed up on a daily ramp so Gmail and Yahoo learn to trust them. Emails over the day's amount are held and go out the next day (they are never dropped). Every hour Velaro checks the last 7 days of spam complaints and bounces and pauses sending from a domain that goes over a safe limit, then resumes it by itself once the numbers recover. All of it is on Email Campaigns > Sender Health.

Where to look

  • Email Campaigns > Sender Health tab: per sending domain, authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, one-click unsubscribe header), warmup progress, 7 and 30 day complaint, bounce and unsubscribe rates, and a plain-language "What to do next" list.
  • CLI: velaro sender-domain-health warmup. MCP: sender_domain_health_warmup.

Common questions

  • "Why are my campaigns not sending / only part of my list got it?" Open Sender Health. Either today's warmup amount is used up (the rest goes out tomorrow, nothing is lost) or the domain is paused. The page says which and why.
  • "Why is sending paused?" Spam complaints or bounces went over a safe limit in the last 7 days. The page shows the reason and the fix. It resumes by itself after a cooling-off period once the numbers recover, or the admin can choose Resume sending.
  • "How do I set it up?" Easiest: Set up warmup on the Sender Health tab (a four step wizard that opens on what is already saved; the standard ramp is preselected and works without edits), or ask Moshky to do it. Start over is one click and the earlier settings stay in the audit trail.
  • "Can I change the ramp?" Yes, with Email Growth: daily amounts on the Sender Health tab (one number per day, never decreasing), turn warmup off, or return to the standard schedule.
  • "Is my domain set up right?" The Authentication column shows SPF, DKIM and DMARC. Missing records are listed under "What to do next" with the exact record to add under Settings, Sender Domains.

What Moshky can do

Moshky can explain the sender health summary and set warmup up for the admin with the sender_warmup_setup skill: status, enable, disable, standard, gentle (slower ramp) and resume (only when the recent numbers are back under the limit). Custom daily amounts are set in the wizard (Sender Health, Set up warmup). If the site is not on Email Growth, say warmup and automatic pausing are part of Email Growth and to see their plan. Never promise inbox placement.
