Recruiting bot controls
Choose what the recruiting bot shares with candidates and how it behaves. Find them in Integrations, Recruiting, Configuration, under Bot controls.
Settings
- Use the job on the page: when your careers page calls
Velaro('context', { jobId, title, location, url }), the bot answers questions about "this job". Turn it off and the bot asks which job the candidate means. - Share when a job was first listed: lets the bot say how long a job has been listed. This is the date the job first appeared in your feed as seen by Velaro, not your original posting date.
- Share the full job description: pay, shift and requirements come from the description text. If your description does not include them, the bot says they are not listed.
- Share the listing link: lets the bot point candidates to the listing page.
- Allow the public apply form: lets candidates apply from your job board page.
- How candidates apply: link to the listing only, collect the application in chat, or both.
- Most jobs shown per search: 1 to 10.
- Tone: friendly, professional or concise.
- Opening greeting: optional, up to 500 characters.
Every setting can also be changed with the Velaro MCP tool recruiting_bot_settings or the CLI command velaro recruiting applications bot-settings. Run the CLI command with no flags to see the current values.
To set up the page side, see "Tell the chat widget which job a visitor is viewing" (Velaro('context', ...)).
