CRM Buying Signals — AI-Powered Intent Detection
Velaro monitors active conversations in real time and surfaces buying signals to agents — words, phrases, and behavioral patterns that indicate purchase intent. Signals are displayed in the agent sidebar and can trigger automated actions such as routing changes, alerts to sales managers, or CRM task creation.
What Counts as a Buying Signal
The detection engine evaluates both visitor messages and conversation context for signals across three categories:

How Signals Are Shown to Agents
When a signal is detected, a flame icon appears next to the visitor name in the conversation queue and in the active conversation sidebar. Hovering shows the detected phrase and the signal category. Multiple signals in the same conversation stack — a high score means the visitor is very likely in buying mode.
Configuring Signal Rules
- Go to Settings → CRM Buying Signals.
- Review the default keyword library (enabled by default for all English conversations).
- Add custom phrases specific to your product — competitor names, feature names, industry jargon.
- Set the sensitivity level: Conservative (explicit intent only), Balanced, or Aggressive (any contextual hint).
- Enable Manager Alert to send a notification to a specified team or agent when a high-confidence signal fires.
Automatic CRM Actions
When a buying signal is detected, Velaro can automatically:
- Update the contact's lead score in Velaro and the connected CRM.
- Create a CRM task (follow-up call, send proposal) in HubSpot, Salesforce, or Dynamics 365.
- Move a deal stage forward (e.g., advance from Prospect to Opportunity).
- Add a CRM tag or list for downstream email/outreach sequences.
Configure these under Settings → CRM Buying Signals → On Signal Actions.
Signal Analytics
The Reports → Buying Signals report shows signal frequency by time period, team, agent, and channel. Use this to identify which channels attract the highest-intent visitors and tune your routing or proactive engagement rules accordingly.
