Video Chat for Live Support

Overview

Velaro Video Chat lets agents escalate a text conversation to a live video call with one click. No app download is required — the customer's browser handles the video directly via WebRTC. Video calls are great for complex support issues, demonstrations, or high-touch customer relationships.

Starting a Video Call

  1. In an active conversation, click the Video icon in the conversation toolbar.
  2. Velaro sends the customer a one-click join link in the chat window.
  3. Both parties click the link — the video call opens in a new browser tab.
  4. No account, download, or plugin needed on the customer's side.

Features

  • Full HD video (720p / 1080p depending on connection)
  • Screen sharing — agent or customer can share their screen
  • Mute/unmute and camera on/off controls
  • Chat sidebar during the call (for links, files, notes)
  • Call automatically logged to conversation history

Availability

Video Chat is available on Pro and Enterprise plans. It is enabled site-wide under Account Settings → Features → Video Chat. Once enabled, the video icon appears in all agent conversations automatically.

Browser Support

Video Chat works on all modern browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) on desktop and mobile. It does not require Flash, Java, or any browser extension.
