Page Widgets — Click-to-Chat, Click-to-Call, Topic Chat

Overview

Page Widgets are lightweight engagement elements you embed directly in your web pages — as inline buttons, banners, or links — that launch a conversation when clicked. Unlike the floating chat bubble, widgets live inside your page content for maximum contextual relevance.

Widget Types

Creating a Widget

  1. Go to Channels → Page Widgets.
  2. Click New Widget and choose the type.
  3. Configure the routing, greeting message, and appearance.
  4. Copy the generated embed code (HTML or JavaScript).
  5. Paste into your website where the button should appear.

Use Cases

  • Pricing page — "Talk to Sales" click-to-chat button next to your plan table
  • Support article — "Still need help? Chat with us" at the bottom of every help doc
  • Product page — "Ask a product question" opens a chat pre-loaded with the product name
  • Contact page — replace a static phone number with a click-to-call widget

Styling

Widgets are unstyled by default — they inherit your website's styles. Apply CSS classes from your existing design system for a fully native look. Or use the pre-built Velaro button styles by adding class="velaro-btn".
