MCP & API Access Add-on Bundle
MCP & API Access Add-on Bundle
The MCP & API access bundle lets a site connect outside tools (AI assistants, CRM embeds, custom integrations) to Velaro with API keys. It packages four limits behind one add-on so you can turn it on, size it, and see what it costs in one place.
What the bundle contains
| Item | What it controls |
|---|---|
| MCP & API access | Turns on MCP API keys and sets the monthly skill-call allowance. |
| Burst rate | How many skill calls a site can make per minute. |
| Response size | The maximum size of a single MCP response, in tokens. |
| CRM embed polling | How often each API key can poll the CRM embed "current call" endpoint, per minute. |
Overage pricing per 1,000 extra monthly calls is set per plan by Velaro and is not part of the bundle quantities.
Limits by plan
| Plan | Calls / month | Calls / minute | Response tokens / call | CRM embed polls / min / key | How it attaches |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | 500 | 20 | 2,000 | 60 | Add-on purchase |
| Professional | 5,000 | 60 | 4,000 | 120 | Included |
| Business | 15,000 | 120 | 8,000 | 300 | Included |
| Enterprise | 50,000 | 300 | 16,000 | 600 | Included |
The Starter add-on is $19.00 per month. Trial sites get no MCP access.
No unlimited per-minute limits
Every customer site has a real per-minute cap. If a per-minute value is 0 it does not mean unlimited: skill calls fall back to 60 per minute and CRM embed polls fall back to 60 per minute per key. Only Velaro internal sites are exempt.
What a customer sees when they hit a limit
- Over the per-minute skill cap: the call is rejected until the next minute.
- Over the CRM embed poll cap: the endpoint answers HTTP 429 with a
Retry-Afterheader giving the seconds until the next minute. Clients should wait that long before polling again. - A request with no valid API key gets 401.
If a customer needs more than their plan allows, they can use a second API key (the poll cap is per key) or ask Velaro support for an override.
Sizing guidance for CRM embeds
The CRM embed polls about once every 2 seconds per open agent, which is 30 per minute per agent. Professional (120) covers about 4 agents on one key, Business (300) about 10, Enterprise (600) about 20.
For Velaro staff
In SuperAdmin, open the site, then Subscription, then the "MCP API Gateway" section. The per-minute, response-token and CRM embed poll inputs are there next to the monthly call cap. Enabling the bundle for a site applies the plan quantities above through the feature package system. Never set a per-minute value to 0 expecting unlimited; it resolves to the default of 60.
